Acrylic paintings by Australian artist Linda MacAulay - Artist Statement

"Inspired by the rich colours of the Australian landscape, I try to capture it's essence and changing moods.  I am primarily a landscape painter who specialises in large scale canvasses that represent the vast open spaces unique to our country.  Sometimes I feel this is best done as a realist painter and other times I abstract the landscape to highten the viewers appreciation of the scene.  I travel extensively with my work and immerse myself in the environment I represent.

Recently I have returned from Uluru where I spent time working as the Artist in Residence."

These original paintings are a small sample of Linda's acrylic paintings and are available for purchase. Linda does however sell many works and not all images displayed may still be available for sale.  Prices and sizes available on request. Please keep in mind that the images are small photographic representations of the paintings. The actual paintings are usually quite large and striking.
